West coast psych aficionados heads up: Nirvana’s Patrick Campbell Lyons is in Los Angeles and has a date in his itinerary at Café Nela in Cypress Park this coming Sunday (March 3rd).

Since the release of his latest (it’s only been 30 years!) solo album, ‘You’re A Cloud, I’m A Comet’, Athens, Greece-based Patrick has been kept busy promoting the Nirvana 1960s reissue programme with Universal; his wonderful book about the 1960s in London (listen out for the audio format, coming soon…); and of course ‘Comet’ (available here at Market Square).

Not performing, Patrick parties, sometimes he does both: like at this private event, a paisley-paradise picturing Patrick (right) with fellow guest performers (l to r) Fred Joseph, Alex Soubiran and Mikki Pantone.

“Very intimate and very wonderful with just a handful of friends enjoying Patrick’s music and company…” Fred reports.

A Patrick performance is indeed to be savoured.

Check the flier above for details of Sunday’s gig – and enjoy.
